My friend Stephen and I have spent 2 or more days riding each of these ebikes reviewed here in beautiful North Georgia, and I want to share my opinions with you on each of these ebikes.

#4 Choice: Ancheer Electric Mountain Bike

(Best Suited for Short Range. Pavement & Light Trails)
Next up we have the Ancheer Electric Mountain Bike.
This is a great entry-level choice and daily rider because of its lightweight design, and it has thinner tires than the other fat tire mountain bikes we have reviewed.
It comes with a smaller, 350W motor, but it is very efficient with its smoother tires, carbon fiber frame and 21 gears.
What We Love About It:
- POWERFUL ELECTRIC SYSTEM – With a removable 374.4Wh battery, you can pedal assist to 40 miles per charge using the low pedal assist level. The 350w brushless geared motor provides reliable support and up to 20MPH top speed. This provides plenty of power for your daily commute or local trails. You can easily handle mild to moderately hilly terrain.
- TURN THROTTLE OR PEDAL ASSIST – Provides four levels of power assistance. You can choose to turn the thumb throttle or step on the pedal to activate the motor. You can switch between pedal assist and thumb throttle at any time. You can add a burst of speed with the throttle, which is ideal for powering thru traffic lights.
- MOUNTAIN BIKE CONFIGURATION – The fork is made of high-strength carbon steel and the frame is made from aluminum alloy. This makes the bike lightweight yet very sturdy. With the 21-speed transmission system, you can choose any speed according to your needs. The front and rear disc brakes offer enhanced safety. Aluminum Alloy double-walled rims provide durability.
- CONVENIENT PARTS REPLACEMENT DESIGN – Ancheer has designed replacement connectors for all of the electrical components. If you need to replace the parts, you can replace them without having to open the controller.
- EASY TO ASSEMBLE – The bike comes 85% pre-assembled, and you only need to put the main parts together. Ancheer also provides an assembly video making this a snap. The bike is backed with a one-year service warranty for the electric motor, battery and other main replaceable parts.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Great Value – You won’t find many other mountain ebikes that offer the features and rugged design of this ebike
- Lightweight – Thankfully, Ancheer made this ebike from aluminum alloy making it lighter and more nimble than the competition. Many other ebikes are heavier because of their steel frame, and heavier ebikes put more strain on the battery.
- Intuitive LED display – Because of the simple display, you are more likely to focus on riding your bike rather than being distracted by what the bike’s display is doing. Other bikes have more advanced screens, but they tend to overwhelm new ebike owners.
- Water Resistant – This ebike can withstand light rain making it ideal to use as a daily commuter in all seasons.
Cons:
- Saddle Comfort – The built-in saddle is not very comfortable for long distances. Thankfully, you can replace it if you choose to upgrade.
- Spoke Issues – You may need to tighten the spokes from time to time. This is a minor inconvenience.
- No Bike Lamp – There is not a built-in headlight/bike lamp
- Battery Capacity and power – 350W is sufficient for flatter terrain, but your mileage may vary depending on where you live. However, it does have 500W of peak output power to help you power thru some hills.
Review & Final Verdict (4.5/5)

The Heybike Mars has wheels that are 20″ rather than 26″ making it easier to ride if you are under 5’5″.
We think it is better suited for on-pavement riding rather than off-road on the trails, and it is a lot of fun to ride on paved roads.

Cons:
- Weight – This ebike weighs in at 66 pounds, so while it is the most compact it is also one of the heaviest we reviewed.

- Foldable – Having a foldable ebike is great if you really need to save space, but having a foldable ebike also means you need to inspect the hinge occasionally for safety reasons.

The Heybike Mars 500W Foldable Electric Bike is jam-packed with safety, performance and convenience features. This is a great ebike if you are looking for a foldable, 20″ ebike.
